ABFAS HOSTS NEW CHIEF DIVERSITY OFFICER FOR ROUNDTABLE DISCUSSION

Fairfax, VA - Corey Jackson, Mason's new Chief Diversity Officer and his staff met with the ABFAS membership at its March 4th organizational meeting.  The session was extremely informative.  The  CDO shared his vision of diversity with the organization as well as some of his planned initiatives for Mason's Office of Equity and Diversity Services (OEDS).

ABFAS would like to thank Corey and his staff for visiting with the organization and we look forward to working with OEDS!

ABFAS HAPPY HOUR MEET-N-GREET CONTINUES TO GROW

Fairfax, VA - The ABFAS Happy Hour Meet-n-Greet continues to grow in size and attendance since relocating to one of Mason's favorite local haunts, Brion's Grille in the University Mall.  The Meet-n-Greets, held on the first Friday of each month during the Spring and Fall semesters, offer members of the organization an opportunity to gather at the end of the work week to relax and unwind while enjoying food, drink and fellowship amongst colleagues and friends.  The event also offers Mason faculty, administrators, and staff interested in becoming members of the organization an opportunity to interact with colleagues in a casual atmosphere.  Originally held at the Rio Grande restaurant in the Fair Oaks section of Fairfax, the event relocated to Brion's in December, 2008 due primarily to the convenience of proximity to the Fairfax campus.

Hope to see you at the next ABFAS Meet-n-Greet!
